DJ Kraze arrived in Tokyo at 5AM, jet-lagged, with a hard drive full of sets and a soundcheck in four hours. He broadcast the entire soundcheck on TMI. 3,200 fans in 18 countries watched.
"The tour isn't just 30 cities anymore. It's 30 cities plus however many people are watching every minute."
The Hybrid Tour Model
Kraze's tour operated on a hybrid model he designed himself: every physical show was also broadcast on TMI with a $4.99 virtual ticket. Physical shows averaged 800 in-room attendees. Virtual shows averaged 4,100 concurrent viewers. Combined per-show revenue: comparable to a 5,000-capacity venue without the overhead.
He streamed rehearsals, soundchecks, afterparties, and bus conversations. The TMI audience wasn't just watching the tour — they were living it alongside him. Fan engagement during the tour: 2.1 million total interactions across 30 cities.
